MANSFIELD: Mary E. Fugitt, 75, of Mansfield passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in Mansfield MedCentral Hospital’s Emergency Department following a brief illness.
Mary was born July 15, 1937 in Mansfield the daughter of Edgar and Leone (Derror) Neel.
Mary’s focus was always family centered. A devoted wife and mother, she was proud to raise three daughters.
Mary enjoyed flower gardening. The Fugitt house was a safe haven for neighborhood birds. Mary loved to bird watch and always looked forward to keeping her birdfeeders full year around.
She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Mary will be remembered for her giving nature and kind spirit.
She is survived by her husband Guy Fugitt of Mansfield; daughters Pam Fugitt of Mansfield, Paula Miller of Fredericktown, and Penny (Tim) Oney of Mansfield; grandchildren Lacey and Nicole Miller and Charlie and Samantha Oney; great grandchildren Hunter and Lily; brother Daniel (Helen) Neel and Frank Neel all of Mansfield; dear friend Linda Tadijanac.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Virginia and Joe Miovac, and brothers and sister-in-law Richard and Sarah Neel and James Neel.
The Fugitt family will receive friends Friday March 22, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 6:30-8:30 pm in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will be Saturday at 1pm. The Rev. Marilou Brook will officiate and burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
