Mary Ann Kearns, age 87 of Marengo, passed away Monday evening September 21, 2015 at Grant Hospital in Columbus.

She was born on June 8, 1928 in Kenton to the late Ruben and Helen (Cooney) Keller. She was a retired LPN and was a member of the Marengo United Methodist Church.

Mary treasured spending time with her family and enjoyed a good game of Scrabble. Mary loved being outdoors, working in her yard and feeding her squirrels and birds.

She is survived by her daughters: Carol (Doug) Hollingsworth of Mount Gilead, Karen (Sterling) Boggs of Marengo, Connie (Rex) Payne of Ashley, Kathie (Chris) Henwood of Fredericktown; sons: Johnny Kearns of Cardington, Larry (Vicki) Kearns of Mansfield, Lloyd (Donna) Kearns of Marengo; 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great  grandchild.

Preceded in death by her son Kenneth and two grandchildren.

Per Mary’s wishes there will be no calling hours or service and arrangements are entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo.

  • I literally was just thinking about Mary a couple of days ago and just now saw this…
    Thinking of her whole family at this time. She truly was a sweet and caring woman! You could tell she loved her family and her community as she also was a member of Marengo Squad, an original one too I think.
