Mary Alice Dauchenbaugh, 75, of Galion earned her heavenly wings Monday, December 9, 2019 at Avita Galion Hospital after an extended illness.

Born November 20, 1944 in Galion, she was the daughter of David and Mae (Baldwin) Herndon. She married Jack Dauchenbaugh on November 20, 1994 and he survives.

She worked for Baja Boats, JoAnn Fabrics in Bucyrus and Bucyrus City Schools. Mary was a talented seamstress, avid bingo player, enjoyed karaoke and baking for her family on Holidays. She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge 303 of Galion where she liked to play Euchre on Sundays. Mary enjoyed talking to her friends and family and was known to spend hours on the phone.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter Cindy (James) Stamper of Bucyrus, son Jeff (Millie) Dauchenbaugh of Bucyrus and her granddaughter who she raised as her own daughter, Trista (fiancée Terry Howard) Dauchenbaugh of Galion; two step-sons William Dauchenbaugh of Iowa and Brian Dauchenbaugh of Galion; grandchildren Michelle Reinhart, Sara (Ivan Hansford) Reinhart, Kyle (Kim) Reinhart, Megan Dauchenbaugh and Jacob Dauchenbaugh; 19 great grandchildren with whom she adored with her whole heart and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Dale, David and Jerry Herndon and sisters Sharon and Connie.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Joe Stafford officiating. Women of the Moose service will be held prior to the funeral.
