Martin Fleiner, 86, of 224 Hetrick Drive, Galion died Monday, October 27, 2003 at his home.
Born November 15, 1916 in Crestline, he was the son of the late William Fleiner and Margaret Lange Fleiner.
He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church; the Galion Eagles Aerie #630; Galion Lodge #414, Free and Accepted Masons and Galion Chapter #142, Royal Arch Masons.
He was an avid baseball fan and coached Little League and umpired in the Galion baseball programs. Marty was an avid outdoorsman and he thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He retired in 1986, after 30 years, from the former Westinghouse in Mansfield where he was a press operator. Prior to that he worked at the former Galion Iron Works.
Surviving are his two sons and daughters-in-law, Martin William and Brenda Fleiner, of Reno, Nev. and David Ray and Cynthia Fleiner, of Roswell, Ga.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Lynn and Jim Tischer, of Centerville and Linda Kay and Scott Noble, of Knoxville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Fleiner, of Burbank, Calif. and George Fleiner, of Mansfield; two sisters-in-law, Margie Finical and Elizabeth Lamb, of Galion and nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita E. Rensch Fleiner on October 13, 1993, they were married August 14, 1939 and also, two sisters, Elizabeth Nuutinen and Evelyn Cuppett and a brother, William Fleiner.
At the request of Marty and his family no calling hours will be held. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Karl Ribbeck, of Peace Lutheran Church, officiating.
