Martha “Polly” Fulton

MANSFIELD: Martha “ Polly” Fulton, 85, of Mansfield, died Monday August 13, 2007, in Primrose Retirement Communities following a brief illness.
Now absent from the body, Polly is present with the Lord, in her eternal home (II Cor. 5).
Polly was born November 2, 1921 in Morrow County to William Floyd and Cora Alice (Schrader) Mumaw.
Martha was graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1939, and worked as a telephone operator retiring from the former United Telephone Company.
In 1985 she married Roy Fulton in Bradenton, Florida where she resided until returning to Mansfield in 2004.
While living in Florida, Polly was a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Bradenton. It was there that she made wonderful friendships that will always be cherished.
After moving back to Mansfield, Polly attended Berean Baptist Church.
Having a love for music, Polly enjoyed singing and playing her accordion. A talented seamstress, she loved board games and playing cards.
Evident in her faith, Polly enjoyed quiet time spent with God through prayer and reading her Bible. Blessed with the ability to encourage others, Polly always made time to write or send cards to her family and friends.
Polly will be remembered for her contagious smile.
Polly is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Hugh and Carol Robertson of Plainfield, Indiana, a daughter and son-in-law Lura Romie and Jerry Gumeny of Medina, and a son and daughter-in-law Tim and Pam Fulton of Bradenton, Florida; grandchildren Hugh Burton, Chante’, Chris, Craig, Tim, Jr., and Jenny; 7 great grandchildren; brothers Kenneth Mumaw of San Jose, California, and Raymond Mumaw, a sister and brother-in-law Phyllis and Jim McPhern of Mansfield; a close niece and nephew Karen and Tim Schill of Mansfield and Norman Gassaway of Medina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy Fulton, a sister Lucy Gassaway and her stepmother Juanita Mumaw.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 11 am-1pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral will immediately follow at 1pm. Pastor Jim Berry will officiate. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
