Martha A. Hildebrand, age 94, of Mount Gilead, passed away Monday afternoon, February 5, 2018, at the Woodside Village Care Center.

Martha was born on December 18, 1923, in Alexandria, OH, to the late Wilbur B. and Hazel M. (Penn) Patterson.

She was a member of the White Shrine and Baku Grotto both in Mansfield. Martha was also a member of the Boundary United Methodist Church, the Mount Gilead Golf Club, and the Eastern Star.

As a homemaker, Martha was an excellent cook and even better baker. She and her sister, Jayne, both volunteered for over 20 years at Woodside Village and were known as the cupcake twins. Martha loved her family and especially loved to spoil the grandchild.

Left to cherish her memory includes her son, Thomas (Carolyn) Hildebrand; granddaughter, Amanda (Casey) Capretta; great grandchild, Landen Whisler; sister Jayne (Norman) Worline; and nieces and nephews: Cathy (Sid) Pinyerd, Marty Dodosz, Debbie Posthuma, Mike MacGregor, Don Patterson, George Patterson, Candy Patterson-Messmer, and Don Brown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Hildebrand; son, Terry L. Hildebrand; brother, Donald Patterson; and sisters: Virginia Brown and Iris Jean McGregor.

Services honoring Martha’s life will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018, at NOON, with Pastor Stephan Bloomfield officiating, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rivercliff Cemetery.
