Marlene Williams, 52, of Galion passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at home.

Born September 21, 1963 in Galion, she was the daughter of Jerrell and Thelma (Gillam) Ivy. She married John A. Williams on October 29, 1984 and he survives.

She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1981. Marlene loved to sing, play cards and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband she is survived by children Teresa Rathers (John Holbert) of Galion, Lena (Joey) Kise of Marion, Alyssa (Ray) Truman of Galion, Cletus Ray (Grace) Williams of Crestline and Aaron (Kelly) Williams of Rockport; grandchildren Cristy (BJ), Keri, Jerry Jr., Michael, Steven, Emily, Sarah, Benjamin and Derin; brothers Jerrell Duane (Jonnie) Ivy of Galion and Jon (April) Ivy of Galion; sister Cheryl DeWalt of Mansfield; ten nieces and nephews; three great nieces and a great nephew.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother James Daniel Ivy and sister Patricia Ivy Milligan.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Tabernacle of Praise, 6480 Lower Leesville Road, Crestline, Ohio 44827 with Pastor Joshua Cole officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Go Fund Me Account under the name of Tryphena Marlene or to the family in care of the funeral home.

  • Marlenes mom Thelma was my grandfathers sister. Marlene used to baby sit me as a kid. I remember it very well. She was a great person with a big heart. Im sad to see that she passed. My Condolences to her family..
