Mark J. Booth, age 40, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 7, 2019. He was born on October 31, 1978 in Mount Vernon, Ohio.  Mark was a 1997 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and the Knox County Career Center.  He was currently employed with the Ariel Corporation in Mount Vernon. In his free time Mark enjoyed gaming with family and friends.

He is survived by his mother Diane (Shanabrook) Booth of Mount Vernon; a brother, Mike Booth of Mount Vernon; a sister, Lisa King of Mount Vernon; nieces and nephews, Cody Booth, Tonya Booth, Matthew Booth, Kerrie Craig, Zach King and Trace Burden; companion, Denise Davis and her daughters, Kylie Everhart and Ashley Everhart; the Davis family and his canine companion, Savanna.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dan and Gladys Shanabrook.

In following with Mark’s wishes there will be no services.  The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Mark J. Booth.

Memorial contributions in Mark’s name may be made to the Knox County Animal Shelter.

  • Im so sorry for the loss of your son. I knew him from working at lowes,and such a nice man he was. My prayers are with you and extended families. I never met his girlfriend but know he loved her.

  • He was a wonderful sweet man, he is sorely missed, we will keep his spirit alive with memories of him and tales of the good times. So very sorry for everyone’s loss.
