Mark Edward DePolo, age 47, of Harcourt Road, Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 2, 2011.
He was born on July 20, 1963 in Mount Vernon to Nick DePolo and Charlotte (Biffath) Stewart. Mark was employed as a chef in the Columbus area. He enjoyed cooking, golfing and classic cars. Mark was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. He was a veteran serving in the United States Army.
He is survived by his son Derrick DePolo of Columbus; his grandson Dominick DePolo; his mother Charlotte Stewart of Mount Vernon; his father Nick (Peggy) DePolo of Mount Vernon; his brother Jay DePolo of Mount Vernon; his grandfather Frank Biffath of Mount Vernon, his step-father Jim Stewart of Cambridge; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandmother Nora Biffath.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 6, 2010 at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home (619 East High Street, Mount Vernon) from 11 – 1 PM. A service will follow at 1 PM. Burial, with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veteran’s Council, will be held in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
