Marjorie Louise Myers, 90, died Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the Country Club Retirement Center in Mount Vernon, Ohio of complications of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Marjorie was born September 5, 1915 in Miller, Missouri, a daughter of the late James H. and Susie K. (Brown) Glasscock. She married Frederick Myers in 1943. After her marriage she resided in Elkhart, Indiana for 56 years before moving to Mount Vernon in 2002.

Marjorie taught 5th grade at Roosevelt School in Elkhart and attended St. Johns Episcopal Church. She was an active member of the PEO sorority, and served as president of her local chapter for three years.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Frederick C. Myers of Mount Vernon, Ohio; by her son, Philip Myers of Monroe, New York; by her daughter, Janet Slack of Gambier, Ohio; and her grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Robert Slack and Diane Bushley of Greenville, South Carolina.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call on Saturday, February 25, 2006 from 1-2PM at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon with a service to follow at 2PM. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Elkhart, IN, at a date to be announced.
