Mount Gilead, Ohio

Marjorie L. (Faulkner) Hadding, age 64, of Mount Gilead, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, March 5, 2006, at the Morrow County Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born on July 7, 1941, in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carl L. and Gertrude I. (Mihm) Faulkner.

Marjorie was raised in Fulton before moving to Lima, Ohio, where she lived for over twenty years. While in Lima, she worked for the Marimor Schools, and was a member of the First Baptist Temple. She has spent the last nine years in Mount Gilead, where she was employed at Whetstone Industries as a basket weaver, rug loomer, and general helper, retiring in 2001. She was also a member of the God’s House of Praise in Fredericktown.

Marjorie was very active at the Seniors-on-Center enjoying meals, making crafts, and spending time with her many friends.

Marjorie made her family a priority, attending every family function and giving of herself to them. Very caring in nature, she had “more heart in her little finger than most had in their whole body,” and she especially loved all babies.

She found great joy in knitting, crotcheting, and making crafts for her family and friends, even taking the time to knit a queen size bed spread for her brother.

She is survived by her daughter Stacey Matney of Lima, Ohio; six grandchildren Kimberly, Ruben, Summer, Carolee, Frank Jr., and Alyssa; three brothers; Carl “Lee” (Pat) Faulkner of Chesterville, Ohio, Hubert E. (Carol) Faulkner of Marion, Ohio, and Robert E. Faulkner Sr. of Jackson, Michigan; a sister Betty Ann (Roy) Osborne of Marengo; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela Hadding in 1998.

The family will greet friends on Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, 76 South Main Street, Mount Gilead, Ohio.
