Sue was a homemaker who truly enjoyed raising her children and taking care of her family.  She also liked to crochet and play bingo.  She loved parties, especially when they were in her honor.  She was the life of the party everywhere she went and always seemed to know everyone.

She will always be remembered as the perfect wife, mom, and grandma who gave huge bear hugs and tons of kisses.

Sue will be dearly missed by her husband, Ted, of Marengo; three children: Gregory Deel of Marengo, Tammy (Larry) Kanagy of Columbia City, IN, Patrick Deel of Marengo; four grandchildren: Janessa, Amelia, Jaden and Toby; a sister, Jane (Joe) Green of Fort Smith, AR, a brother, Ken (Elaine) Sutherland of Marion; a sister-in-law, Donna Sutherland of Lancaster, SC; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Jeff and Don Sutherland; and a sister, Teresa Sutherland.

Sue’s family will greet friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mt. Gilead.  Services to honor and celebrate her life will be held there at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017, with Pastor Jeff Deel officiating.  The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in North Fork Cemetery.
