Marilyn G. Dearfield, age 69 of Marengo died unexpectedly Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Morrow County Hospital ER as a result of complication from COPD.

She was born on April 19, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of the late Austin G. and Iva A. (Haught) Butcher.

Marilyn married Barry Dearfield on October 26, 1973 in Cleveland, Ohio.  Together they raised their son Justin and were married for 44 years.

She loved knitting and animals and was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.  Marilyn also had a sense of humor that was unstoppable and Facebook gave her a platform to entertain her many friends.

In addition to her husband, Barry and son, Justin she will be missed by her grandchildren Briannah, Bryn-Leight, and Jordan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Austin and George Butcher.

A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will take place at a later date.
