February 24, 1925 ‒ June 21, 2016
Marie Waleri went to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 21, 2016 in the OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was 91.
She was born on February 24, 1925 to the late George and Margaret (Roehrich) Loch. She graduated from Madison High School with the class of 1942 and married the love of her life Simon “Sam” Waleri on February 28, 1946.
Marie and Sam lived in Mansfield until 1965, when they decided to move to California. Marie later moved to Texas in 2012 to be near David and Lynda, and moved back to Mansfield in 2015.
Marie embraced many special friendships every where she lived. She was a proud member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for 50 years, holding several positions.
Her goal was to finish a patch work quilt for all her children and grand children, which she did accomplish. She will be fondly remembered by all those she touched during her 91 years.
Marie is survived by her three children Margaret (Eric) Moore, David (Pam) Waleri and Lynda Scott; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, and siblings George, Joe, Bill, Ray and Carol Loch.
She was preceded in death by her husband Simon P. Waleri; sisters Helen Weber and Doris Prince; brother John Loch; nephews Ronnie Loch, Larry Weber, and Billy Schmidt.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 4- 7 pm at the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home (please use south driveway), where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. Friday morning at Resurrection Parrish, 2600 Lexington Ave. celebrated by The Rev. Father Nelson Beaver. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.
