Marianne Ruth Fulton

Marianne Ruth Fulton, age 85, of Mansfield passed away Sunday evening, July 15, 2012 following a long illness.
She was born June 14, 1927 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Howard and Mabel (Steffy) Staeger.
On August 10, 1946 she married Carl F. Fulton who preceded her in death in 1999.
In the early 70’s she and Carl owned and operated the Fulton Inn restaurant in Lexington. Marianne had an eye for design working for a couple of local flower shops, and loved decorating and interior design. She was also a talented seamstress.
A homemaker, Marianne dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her home was the hub of family gatherings and holidays, and was always decorated for the occasion. Meticulous about her home, Marianne was the “ultimate hostess.”
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Suzanne and Ed Adams of Bellville, daughter Barbara Fulton of Mansfield, son and daughter-in-law John H. and Belinda Fulton of Lexington; six grandchildren Jessica (Fulton) Cahill of Columbus, Jennifer (Fulton) Wobig of Oxnard, CA, Tiffany Fulton of Columbus, Kelly (Johns) Pentello of Galena, Desiree Dickerson of Lexington, and Bridget Dickerson of Lexington; four great grandchildren Christian Gillilan, Quinn Gillilan, Lucas Wobig and Rocco Pentello; a brother Howard Staeger, Jr. of Lebanon, PA.
Friends may call Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held Friday, at 1 p.m. Interment will be at a later date in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Pennsylvania.
