Marian Ebert, 86, of Galion, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 at Galion Community Hospital after a 3 1/2 year illness.

Born Mar. 18, 1922 in Ashburn, Ga., she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Adams and Rosa White Adams. She married her husband of 62 years Arthur Franklin Ebert on June 16, 1946 and he survives.

She graduated from business college in Southwest Georgia and worked at Warner-Robbins Air Force Base near Macon, Ga. during World War II. After the war she met and married her husband and moved to Montana and later to Ohio. She and her family lived in Huron for 25 years where she was very active in the Huron Chapter 171 Order of Eastern Star, serving twice as Worthy Matron. In 1984 she and her husband moved to Atlanta, Ga., where she worked at Revco Drugs and in 1992 she moved to Galion and worked at Rite Aid for over 10 years retiring in 2003. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Galion, its Rachel Circle and the former Naomi Chapter 47 Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by one daughter Patti of Columbus; three sisters, Julia Young of Sylvester, Ga., Wynelle Goff of Sylvester, Ga. and Sara Griffin of Inaha, Ga. and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Arthur Lee Ebert, two brothers, Garland Thomas Adams and John White Adams.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 1, 2008 and 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday Oct. 2, at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Don Trigg officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
