Marian E. Farst

Butler: Marian E. Farst, age 91, of Mansfield and formerly of Butler passed away Friday morning, October 16, 2009 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a long illness.
She was born September 15, 1918 in Fremont to Lindell and Esther (Hill) Miller and was graduated from Butler High School in 1937.
A lifelong area resident Marian dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She was a decadent cook, and everyone in the valley knew it! One of her specialties was her homemade baked beans.
Marian attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Butler, and helped as a Girl Scout Leader.
Marian also enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques and spending time tending to her flower gardens.
She is survived by a son Steven P. Farst of Tampa, Florida, a son and daughter-in-law Kenneth E. and Candice Farst of Vandalia, and a daughter and son-in-law Joyce and Jack Markley of Mansfield; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband E. Paul Farst on October 25, 1991.
Friends may call Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 12-1 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral service will follow at 1 pm. The Rev. Don Earlenbaugh will officiate.
Memorial contributions to the Worthington Township-Butler Rescue Squad may be made at the funeral home.
