Maria C. Ayala-Vasquez, 55, of Delaware, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, with her loving family at her side.

Maria was born on April 15, 1962 in Bryan, Texas, daughter of the late Canuto and San Juana Sauceda Ayala.  Maria grew up in Texas, and then moved to Florida.  In 1992, she moved to Findlay, Ohio and then came to Delaware,  after she met Jose Vasquez.  Maria loved cooking and spending time with her family.  She enjoyed watching television, especially old western movies, the Rifleman, CSI and Cops.

Maria is survived by her husband, Jose, with whom she had been together since 1994; sons, Vicente (Lisa) Orona, Jr. of Glouster, OH, Israel (Brandi) Orona of Sunbury, Fidencio Trejo of Castle Rock, CO, Leobigildo Trejo, Jr. of FL and San Juan Trejo of Delaware; daughters, Maria (Mario) Calvillo and Laura (Beau) Calvillo, both of MI; twenty-one grandchildren, Ezequiel, Samuel, Victor, Gloria, Mikaela, Abel, Celeste, Consuerte, Nicholas, Benjamin, Gage, Jaydan, Angel, Aiden, Leo, Lailone, Elias, Korenthian,Akaidus, Kaezly, Jaeci;  and one great grandchild, Xavier; brothers, Canuto (Margaret) Ayala, Jr. of TX, Julian (Letisia) Ayala of OH, Ruperto (Jackie) Ayala of OH and Jim (Maria) Ayala of FL; sisters, Rita (Guadalupe) Salinas of FL and San Elena (Perez ) Ayala of TX; Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents that have preceded her in death, is her daughter, Guadalupe Orona; grandson, Aziz Calvillo; brother, Abraham Ayala and sister, Margarita Ayala.

Visitation will be held for one hour on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral at 1:00 pm, in the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive, Delaware.  Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
