Marguerite Violet Jacobs, 86, formerly of 400 Seventh Ave., Apt. #8, Galion, died Saturday, June 19, 2004 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home, Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

Born December 25, 1917 in Coshocton, she was the daughter of the late Henry Steph and Mary Rice Steph. She was preceded in death on February 14, 1977 by her husband, Lowell E. Jacobs whom she married on February 21, 1976. She was previously married to Lester Ellis, whom she married February 15, 1935 and he preceded her February 4, 1972.

She is a member of First Lutheran Church, Galion, and Bucyrus Chapter #3 Order of Eastern Star, where she has been a member for over 50 years. She is a former member of the following organizations, V.F.W. Post #9943 Mansfield Auxiliary, Daughters of Herman Lodge #13 of Mansfield, United Commercial Travelers Bucyrus Council #334, American Legion Post # 488 Auxiliary, Crestline.

She owned and operated E & J Trailer Sales in Nevada, Ohio with her first husband until retiring in 1972.

Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Mary E. and Charles E. Jackson, Sr., of Galion, two grandchildren and spouses, Melinda and Alan Garvin, of Galion and Chuck and Kristi Jackson, of Galion; two great grandsons, Jared Foos and Daniel Garvin, of Galion.

She was preceded in death by five sisters.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, with Rev. Timothy Keeler officiating. Interment will be in Nevada Cemetery.
