Margretha (Capelle) McCarrick , 89 of Mansfield Ohio passed away peacefully October 3rd at her son’s home cared for  by her children, grandchildren, and close relatives.

Margretha  grew up in Willard, Ohio and upon graduation attended Tiffin University. She married and had 3 beautiful children, Jack, Mary, and Barbara.  Margretha worked at Mansfield Tire & Rubber Co. as clerk typist followed by 10 years at United Telephone Company before retiring.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, participating in both the United Methodist Women group and church choir.  She took great joy in volunteering at the Red Cross and the Genealogical society.

Margretha is survived by her children, Jack W. McCarrick (Carol) of Galena Ohio and Mary Jo Smith (Wayne)  of Alexander City Alabama;  grandchildren: Kristie, Molly, and Michael;  great grandchildren;  Anna , Nathan, Sarah , Natalie  and Vincent, great grand child,Lani,  two brothers, Clifford Capelle of  Florida, Paul  Capelle (Floyce) of Willard, sister in law Janice Capelle, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Naomi (Nickler) Capelle; Her husband Jack B. McCarrick, a beloved daughter, Barbara McCarrick; Grandson Tyson Poole and brother Donald Capelle, and sister in law Colleen Capelle.

Memorial Contributions may be made to United Methodist Church 12 N. Diamond Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44902.  A memorial service will be held at the church on Saturday, October 24th 2015 at 1 P.M.

  • To the family of Ms. Margretha McCarrick.. I’m very sorry for your loss. My deepest prayers and sympathies toward her beloved friends and family. At the least I could do I would like to offer comfort through the promises of the Bible.. In the book of 1st Corinthians 15:26 and in Revelation 21:4 both scriptures carry with promises of a better future for Ms. McCarrick and us all. Thank you and God bless.
