Margaret Ruth “Maggie” Winckelman, 89 of Sunbury passed away Thursday evening, May 7, 2020 at Country View of Sunbury.

Born March 29, 1931 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the only daughter of the late David James & Laura Kathryn Elizabeth (McGlaughin) Youker. Maggie graduated from high school, and made her way down to Sunbury, Ohio.

Left to cherish her memory are husband of 20 years Fred Winckelman; son Brent David (Precious) Stanley; daughter Cheryl L. (Frank) Vander Meer-Ucci; step- daughters Karen Dupler and Jean (Richard) Donkin; granddaughter Laura Ucci;

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Maggie and Fred enjoyed traveling in their early years, traveling to such places as California and Florida. When they returned home, Maggie would take all of the pictures from their trip and make wonderful scrapbooks. Maggie also enjoyed boxer dog rescue, and had several throughout her years. She was a member of the National Rose Society, she won master gardener one year for her wonderful roses. Maggie enjoyed spending her time with her dogs, and in her rose garden.

Per Maggie’s wishes, she was cremated, and no services will be held.
