Margaret Rose (Reed) Caron

April 09, 1940 ‒ February 26, 2014

Mansfield, Ohio

MANSFIELD: Margaret Rose (Reed) Caron, age 73, of Mansfield passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in her home following a short illness.

She was born April 9, 1940 in Johnsville to William K. and Gertrude (Louth) Reed and was graduated from Johnsville High School in 1958. Following high school, Margaret moved to Los Angeles, California, where she worked as a hostess at a high end supper club. There Margaret met many actors and actresses; one of her favorite was Van Heflin. She shared residence between Los Angeles and Mansfield the past sixty years.

Spunky and opinionated, Margaret was liberated, but very conservative in her way of thought. Generous to a fault and fun-loving, Margaret “had a heart of gold.”
She is survived by a brother William “Bill” Reed of Mansfield, niece Marjorie Reed of Columbus, nephew Michael Andrew and KristinA Reed of San Francisco, California, their two sons Noah and Jack, numerous cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband Ronald McCrackin, and her second husband James Caron.

A private memorial service with interment in Shauck Cemetery will be held at a later date.
