Margaret N. Clark

July 31, 1923 ‒ April 25, 2014

Wooster, Ohio

WOOSTER: With no formal training, Margaret Clark designed the layout and design of a home. Her innate talent with décor attracted the attention of the media. And her “green thumb” skills were surpassed only by her abilities in the kitchen: Margaret was “a darned good cook.”
So gifted, yet somewhat of a home-body, Margaret quietly passed away Friday morning April 25, 2014 in Glendora Care Center in Wooster. She was 90.

Born July 31, 1923 in Mansfield to Howard G. and Madeline (Callin) Clark, Margaret attended Prospect Elementary School and was graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1941.

For the past 62 years she had lived in Wooster. She worked as a secretary for Metropolitan Housing before accepting the position of Director of Wooster InterFaith Housing. She had also served as secretary of Smithville United Methodist Church and The Townhouse Association.

She is survived by her daughters Cheryl (John) Ament of Wooster and Maddie O’Callin of Portland, OR; grandchildren John (Christine) Ament of North Royalton, Laura (Michael) Taylor of Grovedale, Australia, Ted (Kim) Wallenius of Lake Tahoe, and Arin Wallenius of Portland, OR; great grandchildren Alexander Ament, Luke and Isabelle Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold A. Teeter in 1951. A brother Jack Clark is also deceased.

Private family services included burial in Bellville Cemetery. The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is serving her family. There will be a graveside service at a future date.

Memorial contributions to Glendore Care Center may be made at the funeral home, as her family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff of Glendora Care Center, as well as the caring folks of LifeCare Hospice, for the care they gave Margaret.
