Margaret Mary Carmel, 86, formerly of 1025 Bucyrus Rd., Galion, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at Rosewood Manor Nursing Center in Galion after an extended illness.

Born Dec. 14, 1918 in Bucyrus, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Adams and Anna Marie Topper Adams. She was preceded in death on July 24, 1986 by her husband, William N. Carmel whom she married on June 7, 1941.

She was a graduate of Bucyrus High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was employed as the dental assistant to Dr. Robert C. Quay in Galion for 25 years.

She is survived by three cousins, Philip Witter of Akron, Jim Witter of Santa Barbara, Calif. and Lawrence Witter of San Francisco.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Michael Schelling officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery next to her husband.
