Margaret M. “Peggy” Huffman

Margaret M. “Peggy” Huffman, age 79 of Ostrander arose to Heaven on Angels wings to join her Lord at the Heavenly table on Sunday, November 21, 2010.
She was born on September 8, 1931 in Groveport to the late James and Virginia E. (Graham) Morgan. A proud graduate of Buckeye Valley High School, she had been a resident of Ostrander since 1957. She retired in 1992 after 20 years as the manager of the Tree House at the Brookside Golf & Country Club.
A woman of strong faith, she was a member of St. Mary Church in Delaware and a former member of the Holy Family Church in Columbus.
Brave and ornery, she was tough in her quiet way, though small in stature. She lived life to its fullest and there were no obstacles that she couldn’t overcome.
A dancer in her day, the jitter bug was her favorite, she even belly danced later in life. She met the love of her life at the Sunshine Park in Columbus; Clarence “Bill” Huffman would become her husband of 61 years. Together they shared the dance of life together, as she was the love of his life the “Peg of His Heart”.
The cornerstone of her large endearing family, she was the glue that held them together. She treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, as they were the center of her life. Home was her favorite place, the place where she taught her family to love unconditionally.
She will be dearly missed by her husband Clarence “Bill” Huffman, children:, Sandi Sheets of Columbus, William (Chris) Huffman of Marysville , John (Janice) Huffman of Marysville, James (Rhonda) Huffman and Thomas (Romina) Huffman both of Ostrander, Cindy (Rick) Brinkley of Delaware, numerous Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, one Great-great-grandson, sisters: Patty (John) Balka of Utica, Elizabeth Hoover of Columbus, Shirley (William) Rorrer of Hebron, and Cheryl Gilman of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by daughter: Melody Huffman and granddaughter: Kathy Hammond.
Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 p.m. with prayer services at 7:30 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. in Delaware. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Church in Delaware with Rev. James Black Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
