Margaret L. Covrett, 77, of Delaware died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009 at Grant Medical Center.
She was born in Rutland, Ohio on February 5, 1932 to the late Hollis and Ada (Rusk) Taylor. A Delaware County resident for 46 years, Margaret worked as a self employed upholster.
A former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she enjoyed fishing with her husband on the banks of the Scioto River, playing various card games and Yahtzee.
She also treasured her pet animals, dogs, fish, and birds. A gambler at heart she enjoyed the action on the gambling boats and testing her luck with lottery tickets.
Brave and independent, she was a fighter with a cantankerous spirit.
She is survived by her dearly loved husband of 46 years: Harold E. Covrett, sister: Ada Canada of Delaware, numerous nieces and nephews including caretakers: Carol & Alan Moder of Milford Center and Bob & Joyce Bradford of Delaware.
She was preceded in death by siblings: Wayne Taylor, Merrill Taylor, Marie Ricketts, Doris Bradford, and Reva Collins.
Graveside services will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Memorial Park in Delaware. Arrangements entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Delaware.
