          Marcia L. Strong, age 65, of Fredericktown died Saturday morning, October 8, 2016 at her home surrounded by family.  She was born November 29, 1950 in Mount Vernon to Wilma (Swihart) Strong and the late George H. Strong.

          Marcia was a 1968 graduate of Fredericktown High School.  She worked in the meat department for Ritchey’s Market in Fredericktown, Armstrong’s in Lexington and Smithhisler Meats in Mount Vernon and she retired from Raytheon Company in Delaware.  Marcia enjoyed woodworking, drawing, sewing and crafts.  She had a great knowledge of the different cuts of meat and how they needed to be prepared.

          Marcia is survived by her mother, Wilma of Fredericktown; sisters, Wilma Jean Strong, Anita Strong and Sherry Strong of Fredericktown; brother, Don (Jackie Lynn) Strong of Fredericktown; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews; and her canine companion, Sadie.

          The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m.  on  Tuesday, October 11, 2016  at the Snyder Funeral Home, 33 East College St., Fredericktown.  A private graveside service will be held in Quaker Cemetery, Fredericktown.
