MANSFIELD: Mabel Mae “Babe” Waddell, 96, formerly of Beechwood Dr. died Saturday evening, January 10, 2009 in Winchester Terrace nursing facility.

Mabel was born on October 11, 1912 in Delaware County to Frank and Glennie (Rader) Ufferman.

In 1951 she married Dwight Waddell. Mabel loved gardening and spending time with family. She was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Mabel was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mabel is survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as special nieces and nephews Woody and Betty Ufferman of Lewis Center, Annie Dulin of Powell, and Dick and Carole Gardner of Florida; special friends Brian and Donna Wilson and their children Ellen, Cameron, and Julia Wilson.

Mabel was preceded in death by her four brothers Hosey, Dorence, George, and Ray and three sisters Francis, Iona, and Florence.

Friends may call on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 1-2pm in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder funeral Homes (Formerly Finefrock Funeral Home) with the funeral service beginning at 2pm. The Rev. Dr. Pentti Maki will officiate. Burial will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30pm in Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware.
