M. Maurine Davis

M. Maurine Davis, of Wintersong Village, Delaware died June 29, 2004 at the age of 81.
She moved to Sunbury in 1952 and was a resident of Ruskin, FL from 1978 until 1999, when she returned to Sunbury. Maurine was born on Jan. 18, 1923 in Artemus, KY to the late Dale and Sally (Jordan) York. Also preceded in death by Sons: James in 1958, Robert in 1997, and Brother: Dale Jr.
She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and being a housewife. She loved to bake and was known for her chocolate pies and banana pudding.
Survived by her loving husband and high school sweet heart of 60 years: Oscar Davis, Children: Charlotte (Ray) Boyer of Bradenton, FL, Sally Nichols of Sunbury, Dale (Patty) Davis of Delaware, Kay (Dave) Jeffers of Sunbury, Daughter-in-law: Debbra Davis of Plant City, FL, 9 Grandchildren: Paul (Alicia) Nichols, Matt & Caleb Davis, Scott & Kelly Arnold, Justin (Tiffany) Jeffers, Jason Jeffers, Phillip & Devin Davis, 3 Great-grandchildren: Alex, Abi & Andrew Jeffers, Sisters: Ivory (James) Kinder of Detroit, MI, Jenny (Arlie) Hammons of TN.
Maurine has had several special care givers over the past 2 years including; Angela Spaulding, Alice Sumner, Jason Velasquez, Donna Jones, and the staff of Wintersong Village.
Friends may call Thursday 5-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury, where service will be held Friday 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Carol Weiss officiating. Interment will follow in Sunbury Memorial Park.
