M. Jean “Mabel” Bible

M. Jean “Mabel” Bible, age 72 died suddenly Thursday morning, December 30, 2004 at the Morrow County Airport from injuries received in an airplane accident.
She was born in Mansfield on Nov. 17, 1932 to the late Casimir and Isabel (Szablewski) Ciesla. A graduate of St. Peter’s High School Class of 1950 and moved to Marengo in 1960 from Groveport. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and pilot. A member of Sacred Hearts Parish, the former Marengo Social Study Club, she served as the Tops Club secretary, and was the official brownie maker for the Delaware and Morrow County Airports.
For the past 24 years her passion was flying, she also enjoyed baking, painting, drawing, sketching, and decorating, especially for Christmas.
Survived by her husband of 50 years: Sheldon Bible, Daughter: Kay (Gary) Gale of Delaware and Granddaughter: Mary Beth and her boy friend: Ben Sherman also of Delaware, canine grandchildren: Muffie and Rolo.
Friends may call Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., with pray services at 8:00 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home on SR 229 in Marengo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Hearts Church, 4680 SR 42, Cardington, Monsignor Charles Foeller Celebrant. Graveside committal services will follow Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Mansfield Cemetery.
