M. Alice Whirl

Alice Whirl, 85, of Galion passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at Galion Community Hospital.

She was born September 13, 1934 in Mt. Vernon and was the daughter of Curtis D. and Ellen (Agnew) Robinson. On July 11, 1952 she married Robert Whirl and they were married 51 years until his passing on November 5, 2003.

Alice worked at Church Directories in Galion and attended the First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. She enjoyed gardening, jig saw puzzles, fishing, shopping, crafts and spending time with her family.

Alice is survived by her children, Beth (Kenneth) Henry of Galion, Michael Whirl, Patrick (Tammy) Whirl of Galion and Gayle Whirl Lantz of Ashland; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. A graveside service will follow the visitation on Wednesday, January 8 at 11:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Galion with Rev. Paul Walter officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society serving Crawford County in care of the funeral home.
