Lyle P. Dodd, Sr.

BELLVILLE: Lyle P. Dodd, Sr., 52, of School Street, Bellville, died Sunday afternoon June 1, 2003 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a long illness.

He was born December 25, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Cecil and Goldie Nickerson Dodd. He attended Clarenceville High School, and moved to the Lexington area over 21 years ago.

Lyle worked as a driver for K&P Trucking in Willard for11 years. He was a member of the William O. Naylor Post #43 AMVETS, Bellville. An outdoorsman, Lyle enjoyed camping and canoeing.

He is survived by his wife Lois Marzetti Dodd, whom he married February 5, 1982; three sons and two daughters-in-law Jason and Jenny Rolphs of Michigan, Lyle, Jr., and Jeremy and Lindsay Dodd all of Bellville; two daughters and a son-in-law Tina and Brandon Crabill of Bean Station, TN and Reaunna Dodd of Bellville; his grandmother Pamela Nickerson of Hartland, MI; six grandchildren Mikey, Camron, Brendon, Delaney, Alexis and Andrea; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Lucy and Terry Kazokos of Novi, MI, Lue and Art Gilroy, Loretta and Stuart Bates both of Hartland, MI, Lisa and Gary Wissmuller of Holly, MI; a brother Hugh Hays of New Hudson, MI; father-in-law and mother- in-law: Bill and Wanda Marzetti of Lexington; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their spouses: Mike and Angel Marzetti of Powell, Lana and Jimmy Vourtsis of Plainfield, IL, Laurie and George Nickolaou, and P.J. and Sarah Marzetti all of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew Robbie Woodin.

Friends may call today Tuesday, June 3, 2003 from 4-8 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. Visitation continues Wednesday the hour before the 12 noon funeral service, which will be held in the funeral home. Pastor George Reece will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
