Lucy E. Hardy Gallion Jolly

Lucy E. Hardy Gallion Jolly, 81 of Cardington, died Tuesday morning at her residence.
Born on December 3, 1928 in Elliott County, Kentucky to the late Everett and Ila (Blevins) Hardy. A clerk for the White’s Market and the IGA in Sunbury and a laborer for Ranco. Member of TOPS in Mount Gilead and ran with her daughter The Little Red Barn Consignment Shop in Fulton. Crocheting or any needle work was something she enjoyed doing.
Lucy loved her family, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her. A music lover at heart Lucy started playing the guitar at age four and enjoyed all types of music. She played her guitar and enjoyed singing songs by Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. Well known for her ability to tune almost any stringed instrument and play most of them. Some special memories were her churning butter, cooking on a wood stove and live music in her home.
Survived by daughters: Diane Pallos of Millersport, Sharon (Doug) Edwards of Cardington, daughter-in-law: Carol, Gallion of Cardington, grandchildren: Tara, Tish, Isaiah, Jacob, Season, Kyle, Laurel; great grandchildren: John, Corey, Heather, Dakota; step-daughters: Debbie Shonk of Ashley, Missy Fillinger of Delaware; brothers: Bill (Nell) Hardy of New Plymouth, Todd (Linda) of Grayson, KY., June (Phyllis) Hardy of Patriot, Ed (Sue) Hardy of Knoxville, TN.; caretaker: Cami Sinden.
Preceded in death by husbands: Eddie E. Gallion on April 6, 1985, Richard F. Jolly on December 26, 2000; son: Alan E. Gallion on October 13, 1999; brother Ervin and sister Cosetta Young.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor JR Smith officiating. Internment will follow in the Sunbury Memorial Park.
