  • Luanna was so special. One of the first people I met when I moved to Delaware. We met at a bible study and have been friends since. Luanna always had such an uplifting spirit, a smile, and a hug when I saw her. She will be missed but the places she touched in my life will continue on.
As you celebrate her life this week, I pray you will feel the presence of Jesus there to comfort and lift you all.

  • My deepest sympathy to all of you, Jeff, Stacy, Brennan, Kaleigh, Alexis, and Joyce.
Luanna loved all of you so much. She always carried her photo album and was so proud to share her grandchildren with her friends. She told us of all the fun on Christmas Eves with you and she enjoyed choosing special gifts for each of you on your birthdays. She was so privileged to have been able to babysit for you all of those years.
She was a very special friend of mine and I was blessed to have her in my life.
As we all know, she was so giving of her time and love.
    Sincerely, Marcie Johnston

  • We remember Luanne from Stratford St. Paul Methodist Church. She was a very dedicated member. And I once helped her make an owl quilt. A lovely person.

  • The South High School Alumni Association and its Board of Directors want to express our sympathy and send condolences at the death of your loved one. Our entire South High School family is diminished by her passing.

  • This is a very sad day for all of us who attended Stratford St. Paul’s Church/Liberty UM Church. Luanna was very special to everyone who knew her. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends. Her faith was her rock that comforted her through her life’s challenges. Rest in peace dear friend.

  • Just heard and I am devastated. We love you Luanna! Jeff and Stacey, we love you and send our hugs and love. There are no words. Another angel for heaven.

  • A bright light has left this world! Luanna is a kind and giving soul. She held my hand through the deep valley of caring for someone with Alzheimer’s even as she was in the middle of it herself. Despite all her troubles, she loved and cared for others and found joy in every day. I know that even though she is not shining here on earth, she shines on in the presence of her Lord. Thank you Luanna for all your love and kindness!

  • Luanna was my girls’ adopted grandmother. We loved her so much and will miss her laugh and her smile. I will miss her picking on me and watching her wiggle her feet around. What a precious and fragile lady, loving fiercely and passionately. I know our friend is at peace and no longer in any kind of pain. I know that Luanna us running around on the streets of gold with NO shoes on those feet! I thank God every day that He moved us to Delaware, where I made a new and wonderful friend. We will all see you again – and love you so much! Wow! Can’t believe you have seen our Lord’s face and touched His arms!

  • Oh, how I will miss this sweet lady in purple! She always had a smile, could be a bit ornery, and she readily shared her life experience with us as a Mentor Mom for MOPS. I know you are dancing with Jesus, beautiful lady! Heaven is rejoicing that you have come home.

    Until we meet again,
    Lisa

  • My family and I have been so blessed by the love we shared with Luanna. My daughter Maddy, especially, became very close with her and we will all miss her very much. We are praying for all of you as you move on without her physical presence, but I know that the love she shared with all who knew her will always be with us.

  • We are heartbroken over the loss of Luanna. She was one of the first to welcome us at the church. She referred to Fabrizzio as “one of her kids”. We loved her and she will be missed. The Biojós.

  • What I knew of Luanna was she was strong, confidant, and she really knew how to throw out a punchline. Her light heartedness and humor brought joy and fun to those who were around her. Her God given beautiful soul will be missed dearly here.

  • So very sorry for the loss of your parents Jeff. I will remember them both fondly. Treasure your memories. I know there are many.

  • My condolences go to the family. She was so proud of her son and his family. I don’t think I ever saw her without a smile on her face.

  • “Sleep soft,” Beloved! We sometimes say who have no tune to charm away—
Sad dreams that through the eyelids creep…
    But never doleful dream again.”

    Lovingly, your friend Virginia
