MANSFIELD: Loyd Allen Wise, 73, of Olivesburg Road and formerly of Plymouth Street, Lexington, died Thursday morning, May 24, 2007 in Country Meadow Care Center following a short illness.

He was born February 10, 1934 in Perrysville, to Leland J. and Dorothy I. (Flickinger) Wise.

A U.S. Navy veteran Loyd served during Korea for three years.

Loyd worked as a truck driver for Yellow Transit Trucking Lines and Jevic, retiring after 36 years of service. He truly loved his job and time spent out on the open road.

He is survived by his sister Ellen Borror of Lexington, a sister and brother-in-law Dixie and Gerald Kline of Perrysville, nieces and nephews Larry and Lisa Wise, Kathy Belt, Vickie Wise, Ron and Wendy Wise, Gary Lee Kline, and Melinda and Nick Claypool, an Uncle Lester Aucker of Ashland, great nieces and nephews Larry, Jr., Megan, Ethan and Evan Wise, Jennifer Belt, Dillion Wise, Kellie and Ashley Wise, Aaron Kline, and Micha and Macy Claypool, and numerous extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Loyd was preceded in death by a half sister Lenora Jones, a half brother William Wise, and a brother-in-law Harold Borror.

Friends may call Saturday, May 26, 2007 from 10 am to 12 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held Saturday at 12 pm. The Rev. Buddy Barrows will officiate. Burial with military honors conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
