Lowell R. Garverick, 86, of 8365 County Road 40, Galion, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Galion Community Hospital, after a one week illness.

Born April 22, 1918 in Morrow Co., he was the son of the late H. Ray Garverick and Mabel Hall Garverick. He married Doris L. Tobin Garverick on January 29, 1944 and she survives.

He was a graduate of Iberia High School in 1936 and a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Galion where he served for many years on the property committee. He retired after many years from the former North Electric Company in Galion where he was a supervisor and he farmed part time.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Larry Ness, of Mansfield, Jean and Robert Heilshorn, of Upland, Ind., Tami and Dale White, of rural Galion; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Judy Garverick, of rural Galion, 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a sister, Maxine Brown, of Mt. Gilead..

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22, with Rev. Robert Heilshorn officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
