Lexington: Lowell G. Volz, 79, of Lexington passed away at home, Thursday morning May 3, 2018 following an extended illness.
The son of William and Mary Volz, Lowell was born May 23, 1938 in Mansfield and graduated from Lexington High School. An Army veteran he was honorably discharged in 1963. Lowell worked as assistant manager for W.T. Grants Department Store, and also for J&B Acoustical and Twin Lakes Golf Course. He also owned Tin Roof Craft Shop.
Lowell was an active car enthusiast and followed the Cleveland Cavs and Browns. He loved nature especially bird watching.
He is survived by his wife Margaret “Peg” Volz of Lexington as well as siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Cherie Marie Volz.
His family will receive friends Wednesday May 9, 2018 from 4-7 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A private burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Troy Township Fire Fighters Association may be made through the funeral home.
