LEXINGTON: Louise Hollon, 97, of Lexington passed away Thursday September 3, 2015 in South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center, Florida.
The daughter of Bradley and Della (Stidham) Ison, Louise was born August 5, 1918.
On April 15, 1934 Louise married Herman Blair Hollon. In 1953 the Hollon family moved to the Lexington area. A homemaker, Louise focused on caring for her family. She also worked at Stevens Manufacturing. She loved to play the organ. A talented artist, Louise enjoyed painting. Later in life, she traveled across the county in her motor home. Louise never met a stranger, and loved to talk about religion.
She was of the Church of Christ faith.
She is survived by her sons Richard (Connie) Hollon of Lexington and Frank (Patricia) Hollon of Lucas; daughter Sophia Goldsmith and Henry Mason of Sun City Center, Florida; grandchildren Mary Beth, Michelle, Rick, Cindy, Virgil, Staci, Tammy, and Trevin; 13 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous extended family.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Herman; brother Bradley Ison, and a sister JoAnn.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 11 am – 12 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will begin at 12 pm. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
