Louise C. Morris, age 86 of Delaware passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Delaware Court.

She was born on January 24, 1933 in Chillicothe to the late Frank and Mary Isabel (Detty) Barnett. Louise retired from Jane M. Case Hospital where she worked in food service after which she worked a number of years at the former Half-Way House 76 Truck Stop as a cashier.

An avid bingo player she enjoyed spoiling her grandkids, yard sales and getting lost on road trips. She was a fan of sweets, Pepsi, and White Castle. Straight forward in demeanor, she was fun loving, and quick to act in the spur of the moment. She was known for her answer of “bull shit” to every question.

Her life centered on her family, she loved all children, most especially helping her grandkids.

She is survived by her beloved husband Dwight of 67 years, son Steve (Deborah) Morris Sr. of Radnor, grandchildren: Steven Jr. and Stacey, four great-grandchildren: Kassie, Samantha, Barbara, and Stephanie, and brother Paul (Vivian) Barnett.

Louise was also preceded in death by brothers: Bill and Don Barnett, sisters: Helen, Goldie, and Mabel.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. till 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 31st, at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr. at W. William St., Delaware where services will follow at 1:30 p.m.  Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 1st at Fairview Memorial Park.

  • Steve and Kassie, sorry to hear about your mom and grandma. I enjoyed taking care of her when I worked at Delaware Court. She was a loving and caring person. She will be missed.
