Lois Regina Tilley, age 82, formerly of Marengo, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.

She was born on September 7, 1935, in Columbus, OH, to the late Raymond Aloysius and Thelma Ardella (Martin) Lordier.

Lois Regina married the late Charles L. Tilley, on June 7, 1955, and together raised 5 wonderful children.

When she wasn’t tending to the needs of her family, Lois Regina could be found volunteering at the local Seniors on Center. She also loved to play bingo, online games, chess, checkers, and listen to live bands. Lois Regina enjoyed her sports, especially watching OSU football/ basketball, and the Olympics.

Her home was always open to anyone. Over the years Lois Regina took in many as her own family and provided for them in any way she could. Her loving and ways of tending to others will truly be missed by many.

She is survived by her children: Ardella Vanderpool of Groveport, Chuck (Cathy) Tilley Jr. of Massillon, Thelma Turner of Pataskala, Frank (Janet) Tilley of Marengo, and Linda (Neil) Phillips of Lexington; 26 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Rocky Haddix of Worthington; special nieces and nephews: Kathy (Howard) Daniels, Nancy (Gary) Postlethwait, Sharon Lordier, Ralph B. Lordier Jr., and Susan Myhre; good friend, Earl Gattshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lois Regina was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter, Sara Tilley; bothers: Raymond, Ralph, and Ronald Lodier and Rex Haddix; and sister, Roberta Grace.

Her family will greet friends from 10 to NOON on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Craven Chapel. (67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead, OH 43338) Services will begin there at NOON with Pastor Stephan Bloomfield. Burial will follow in Ashley Cemetery.

  • Wanted to send my Sympathy to Her Family & Friends. Gina was an Amazung Lady who was Always there to help in any way she could, and always willing to listen. She was there for me after I had a major surgery. I will never forget how much she Loved her Friends & Family. She had an Amazing Laugh and a Zest for Life! She will be Greatly missed!!

  • My condolences to Regina’s family . The first time I met her was on the cruise with Ardella and Thelma .There was something so special about her . Over the years we would all go out , they were times I really looked forward to . Today as the minister spoke so highly and lovingly of her , I now know what a wonderful , caring Lady she was . Going to miss you much !
