Lois Naomi Stacker
August 04, 1927 ‒ November 12, 2015
Lois Naomi Stacker peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, November 12, 2015 in her daughter’s Lexington home following an extended illness. She was 88.
She was born August 4, 1927 to parents Harold & Lillian “Lily” (Rolison) Cisgen in Lorain where she was graduated from high school. She was the sister of Ordway Cisgen, a baseball player for the Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees. Ordway was inducted into the Lorain baseball hall of fame, but as a Lieutenant during WWII he made the ultimate sacrifice while defending his country.
On April 10, 1948, she married Howard Godfried Stacker and they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage until he passed away on their anniversary in 2002. They are now together again.
Lois worked on her farm in Shenandoah with a determined spirit. She loved all animals and her family would often see her walk around the farm followed a dog, eight puppies, and eighteen cats! She belonged to the Ganges Garden Club and is still an honorary member. She was also a member of AARP and volunteered as a representative for them at local events. Her family and friends will remember her as a true people-person who was a caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Lois was a faithful member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Mansfield and in younger years the Shenandoah Christian Church. She was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and sang as a member of the church choir. Lois was also a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship (CWF).
She is survived by two children & spouses: Dale & Jean Stacker of Utica, and Janet & Larry Rondy of Lexington; four grandchildren: Audrey, Amelia, Carl, and Hallie; three great-grandchildren: Katie, and Monay; along with numerous extended family members.
In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Sarah Kinstle, son-in-law Timothy Kinstle, and a brother Ordway Cisgen.
Her family will receive friends 11-1 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2015 Pleasant Valley Baptist Church (3494 N Main St, Mansfield OH 44903) where a funeral service celebrating her life will begin at 1 p.m. Pastor Ron Puff will officiate and burial will follow in Shenandoah Cemetery.
