Lois “Bickey” Fox

Lois “Bickey” Fox passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the Wedgewood Estates. She was 94.

She was born February 11, 1923 to parent’s Archie & Esther (Warner) Fisher in Sandusky. After Bickey graduated from Mansfield Senior High School with the class of 1940, she married her high school sweetheart George Fox Jr. on May 25, 1943. George and Bickey have a long history together as neighbors and dating since teenagers. They spent 72 wonderful years together until he passed away in 2016.

Earlier in life Bickey loved to spend time with her family during the summer months at their cabin on Peelee Island in Ontario, Canada. She enjoyed being in a bowling league, later after retiring she enjoyed playing bridge and golfing with George and friends. Bickey was also very active and a lifetime member of the Mansfield First Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her children George “Skip” (Denise) Fox III, and Dr. David B. Fox; grandchildren Allison (Jason) Loewen, Jenny (Dr. Zach) Daniels, Carrie Fox, and Hayden Fox; great grandchildren JT Loewen, Tate Daniels, Theodore Daniels and one on the way; daughter-in-law Nancy Fox; siblings Gloria Kitner, and Dan Fisher; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband, Dr. George Wallace Fox Jr., she was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home Finefrock Chapel with Celebrant Dave Roberts officiating.
