Lloyd M Davenport

Lloyd M. “Buck” Davenport, age 73 of Ostrander passed away early Friday morning at home surrounded by the love of his family.
He was born on May 24, 1940 in Galena to the late Arthur W. and Vivian C. (Courter) Davenport. Before retiring, Lloyd worked 30 years as a machinist for Ranco in Delaware.
He was a member of Warrensburg United Methodist Church and the Vintage Car Club. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards, but he was at his best tinkering with classic cars. Some of those he restored include a 66 Mustang, 55 Plymouth, 50 Chevy, and 78 LeMans, but his pride and joy was his 66 Mustang. Friendly in nature Lloyd was at his best helping people; family or neighbor, he was a true problem solver.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 4 years Patricia (Schumacher) Lyons Davenport, daughters Debbie Ann Schirtzinger, Deanna R. Norman, step-sons Walter (Beth) Lyons, Richard (Mindy) Lyons, step-daughters Monica Lyons, Pamela (Bryan) Steele, 4 grandchildren: Lloyd (Shelly) Stout, Holly Ann McGruder, Darcy Stout, Nichole Price, brothers Anthony and John Davenport, sisters Marcella Colvin, Shirley Keeton, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was also preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 28th at the Warrensburg United Methodist Church with the family receiving friends 1 hour prior to service. The Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center is honored to serve the Davenport family.
