Linda Sue (Carruthers) Moreland, age 58, passed away peacefully at home in Centerburg on Sunday, October 3, 2021.

Linda was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 7, 1962 to the late Thomas and Janice (Zeune) Carruthers. In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her grandparents Howard and Beulah Zeune, Fred and Margaret Carruthers as well as her grandson Gus Govoni.

Linda had a passion for helping people. After finishing school, Linda served as a licensed practical nurse for the majority of her life and most recently at Centerburg Pointe Nursing Home. When Linda wasn’t working, she enjoyed her time most spent with her loving family. Linda also appreciated a good book and cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.

Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her children Ashley (Michael) Brittenham, Corey Eakin, and Felicia Moreland. Brothers Ron Carruthers, Tom (Charlene) Carruthers. Sister Lisa Lybarger and Grandson Logan Eakin.

The family will receive visitors at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral service for Linda will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 beginning at 10:00am with Pastor Jeff Mullet officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Centerburg.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Linda’s name to Lifeline of Ohio 770 Kinnear Road #200, Columbus, Ohio 43212

  • I Have not seen Linda since we Graduated Health Occupations in 1981, What a full accomplished life she lived. She was the top of our class and Nice to see she went on to become a nurse. Our Teacher Mrs. Harrison would have been very proud. So Sorry for your loss I will pray for comfort for you all. Loved the video caught me up on all I missed out on in her life or some of it anyway, Nice to know she had three children, God bless you all. May Our Father comfort your hearts and peace be with you.
