BELLVILLE: Linda M. Yarger, 59, of Bellville, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Linda was born on January 21, 1950 in Mount Vernon to Royd and Betty E. (Darr) Oswalt.

She loved to find bargains, a tigress on the hunt she sought out the best deals at garage sales, yard sales, rummage sales or stores. Only the finest treasures would catch her eye.

A fantastic mother and grandmother, Linda’s housekeeping skills were unsurpassed. She always passed the white glove test with flying colors.

At family gatherings, cards were a focus. Linda had a competitive edge and enjoyed playing euchre and Texas Hold’em.

She was always willing to serve others with her thoughts, a hug, a smile or one of her famous homemade baked goods.

Linda is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law Patty & Greg Heimbuch of Lexington, and Paula & Scott Tollison of Bellville, and their father James Yarger of Butler; grandchildren Kayla Hatfield, Danielle Hatfield, Jenna Hatfield, Carter Heimbuch, Hunter Tollison and Wyatt Tollison; her mother Betty Oswalt of Butler; sisters, brothers and their spouses Nancy & Jerry Partin, and Jean & Mike Thompson, Randall “Dude” & Pam Oswalt, Raymond “Nick” & Deb Oswalt and Robert Oswalt, and Roger and Sheila Oswalt; nieces and nephews Robert Oswalt Jr. and family, Brenda Bowman and family, Robin Carver and family, Nicholas Oswalt and family, Nathan Oswalt and family, Lynsay Swank and family, Jason Oswalt and family, Levi Oswalt and family, Dylan, Keith and Kyle Oswalt, Michael Thompson and family, Jeremy Partin and family, Tiffany Shafer and family, and Jon and Jesse Oswalt.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a grandson Garrett Tollison and a brother Ronald Oswalt.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 13, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Pastor Patrick Bailey will officiate. Burial will follow in Bunker Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to Butler Sportsmen Club may be made at the funeral home.
