Linda Lou Parker, age 67 of Marion, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 20, 2019.

Linda was born on January 22, 1952 in Oregonia, OH, the daughter of Walter Hayden and Lana Mae (Adkins) Christian.

Linda was born with a true heart of a servant. She loved being around people and giving of herself in so many ways. First and foremost she was devoted to her family. Cooking family dinners, serving her famous noodles and fudge for dessert, were times that Linda truly cherished. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and spending time with her sisters and her daughter, Robin were cherished time as well. On Thursday’s or Sunday’s you would likely find Linda at a BINGO hall, keeping her eye on many BINGO cards and loving every minute of it.

Linda’s servant heart didn’t stop with her family, she served her community in many ways as well. She worked with her father to help establish the original bus route in Marion for public transportation. She spent time in social work making many visits to people’s homes. Linda’s true passion was serving people as a waitress, especially enjoying her days working at the Ponderosa Steak House.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Christian; step-children: Travis (Jennifer) Parker, Troy Parker, David (Teresa) Parker, Richard (Carma) Parker and Tommy McNally; grandchildren: Brandy (Scott) Murphy, Courtney (Dustin) Horn and Richard Hunt, II; numerous step-grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; numerous step-great grandchildren and siblings: Tammy (Dave) Newland, Bonnie (Meryl) Gibson, Tracy (Steven) Stacy and Jeannette (Bob) Caulver.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, including her step-mother, Mildred Christian; her beloved husband, James Parker; siblings: Janet Murphy and Nancy Forrider; and step-siblings: Rich, Frank and Giggs Eaches.

Visitation will be Monday, July 22, 2019 at Snyder Funeral Homes, DENZER Chapel, 360 East Center St. Marion, from 6PM to 8PM; Funeral service will be Tuesday at the funeral home at 1PM, friends may call from 12Noon until time of service; Burial will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
