Lillian M. Cronenwett, 92, of Marion and former Galion resident passed away Monday morning, March 14, 2016 at Kingston Residence of Marion where she had been a resident for the past six years.
She was born December 28, 1923 in Burgoon, Ohio and was the daughter of Alfred and Mabel (Bennett) Steiner.
On July 3, 1941 she married Dean S. Cronenwett and they enjoyed 71 years of marriage until his passing on February 10, 2013.
Lillian was a 1941 graduate of Galion High School and a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Galion. She enjoyed playing euchre in several euchre clubs and gardening. Lillian and her husband enjoyed spending time at their cabin at Walton Lake near Crestline.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and John Jerman of Lexington and Susan and Ken Williams of Marion; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian (Beth) Cronenwett of Downers Grove, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Nancy Jerman, Anne (Carl) Frederick, Amy Jerman, Benjamin Williams, Mariah (Jerry) Barnes, Andrew Williams and Brianne and Andrey Cronenwett and four great-granddaughters.
Lillian is preceded in death by her parents and husband Dean.
Private services will be held for the family.
