Liddien “Louise” Baer-Akers, 63, of 320 South St., Galion, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at home after a long illness.

Born February 29, 1944 in Marion, she was the daughter of the late John and Henrietta Dawson Baer.

She was raised in Caledonia and attended Martel Schools. She was a supervisor in the professional cleaning and maintenance business. Prior to that, she was a coal miner and salt miner where she was a blaster. She attended Victory Rock Praise and Worship Center.

Surviving are her three sons and one daughter-in-law; James and Donna Hamm of Marion, George Vaduckus of New York City and Larry Akers, Jr. of Marion; five daughters and sons-in-law, Vikki and Ronald Jenkins of Galion, Billie Jo and Donald Jenkins of Galion, Judy and Robert Fields of New Bloomington and Wanda Drummond and Amy Parsons, both of Cardington; 18 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Jody Baer of Mt Gilead and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Virginia and Dave Miller of Chillicothe and Debbie Hart of Davie, Fla.

She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Tracey Stafford; one grandson, Phillip Holden Knaul and two brothers, Fred and John Baer, Jr.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 7, at Caledonia Cemetery with Rev. Danny Akers officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home.
