Lester J. Miller, age 84, of Fredericktown, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Country Court Nursing Center. He was born August 9, 1932 in Hartville, Ohio the son of John M. and Clara (Burkholder) Miller. Lester owned and operated Miller Construction Company and Miller’s Restaurant both of Mount Gilead. He previously pastored the Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Mount Gilead and was a current member of Overcomers Christian Church in Mount Vernon.

Lester enjoyed his missionary work and serving as an evangelist in Kenya, Bulgaria, Haiti, Costa Rica, Honduras and many inner city missions.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca (Yoder) Miller; daughters, Deborah (Kevin) Cunningham of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Yvonne (Jim) Miller of Fredericktown and Pamela (Paul) Butler of Dallas, Texas; sons, Bryan (Alicia) Miller of Lakefront, Georgia and Dwight (Denise) Miller of Mount Vernon; 16 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; his sisters, Sylvia Miller of Mansfield, Edna (John) Hershberger of Cashton, Wisconsin and Amanda Bontrager of Zanesville; two brothers, Eli Miller of Burton, Ohio and John H. (Helen) Miller of Smithville, Ohio.

Besides his parents, Lester was preceded in death by a sister Clara Kurtz and a brother Andy Miller.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown where friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Kevin Cunningham will be officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
