Leona F. Dally, age 76, of Winesap Drive, Mt. Vernon, died Monday, November 25, 2002 at the Knox Community Hospital. She was born on September 11, 1926 in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter to the late Fletcher and Lucille (Spillman) McClure. Leona founded and operated The Ebenezer Basket and Pottery Barn in Zanesville. She was a member of the Gay Street United Methodist Church and was also an avid golfer where she was a member of the Mt. Vernon Country Club and Zanesville Country Club Women’s Associations.
She is survived by her husband of 56years, James Dally, four daughters, Jamie Miller of Mt. Vernon, Jewel (David) Porter of Mt. Vernon, Jennifer (Chip) Idley of Garland, Texas, Janet Wollenberg of Zanesville, six grandchildren, Todd (Teresa) Miller, Lindsay Miller, Dustin Wollenberg, Troy Wollenberg, Megan Porter, Jasmine Idley, and a sister, Bonnie Foster of Jackson, Ohio. Leona was preceded in death by her parents and also by an infant daughter, Lisa Jane Dally.
There will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private graveside service. The Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon assisted the family with arrangements.
